Born in Rome in 1994, Niso Tozzi starts falling in love with music at very young age thanks to the study of the drums. In 2014, he moves to the Netherlands where he begins digging into black and afro music in all its forms soul, funk, jazz but most importantly, hip hop and rap. Meanwhile, he discovers the wonders of world music, exploring different genres like afrobeat, afro-funk, ethio-jazz, cumbia, bossa nova.
Ni_so is deeply committed to sampling from heterogenous genres like afrobeat and afro-funk, in the attempt to plant the first seed into the exploration of new sounds and new rhythmical solutions within contemporary instrumental hip hop and lo-fi hip hop.
